  3. Installing Déjà Vu

  6. To install Déjà Vu, double-click 'DejaVu.mpkg' and follow the instructions.

  8. After a successful installation, you will find Déjà Vu in System Preferences under the 'Other' category. (If not, try logging out and logging back in again.)

  10. Once installed, Déjà Vu will offer you its full, unrestricted functionality for 30 launches. After this, the software will expire, and you will be given an opportunity to purchase a license code.

  16. Déjà Vu is somewhat unique among preference panes in that it needs to be left in its default location ('/Library/PreferencePanes'). If you move it anywhere else (like 'Home/Library/PreferencePanes'), it will no longer work and you will need to reinstall it.

NOTE: When upgrading from 2.3 to 2.4, you will need to re-select your folders in the main table. (Sorry for the inconvenience. This will not happen again in the future.) If you had any backups scheduled, you will also want to click the 'Schedule' button so the new backup scripts are installed.
